Because my sister is planning a wedding this summer my mom talked to my CURE coordinator last week and found out some new and exciting information.
First of all I learned that there are a total of 11 people on my team-the full capacity. Four are from California, three from South Dakota, myself, and the others we weren`t sure about. But there will definitely be a lot of variety :) I also know that my dates July 22-Aug 5 are actually the dates of the "in country" mission trip. Meaning I will most likely be leaving two-three days prior and arriving on the 6th of August. By the first of April I will be receiving a large package with much more specific details and I will share that with you as soon as I know.
Right now my fundraising is at a total of $1305. Which means I have $2595 left to go! I am continuing to share my M&Ms with anyone who is willing to return them with some quarters, and I am planning to have a Moe`s fundraiser here at Tech in the next month. Moe`s Southwest Grill will give 15% of each meal to those who bring coupons. I will have the dates on here as soon as they are set.
I can`t thank each of you enough for your constant prayers, support, and interest towards CURE and my walk with Christ. It is so humbling to know that so many people are running after the Lord and sharing his heart for missions as I prepare for this trip. I cannot wait to see what God has for each of our team members in Zambia, and more so for each of the people, his beloved children, we will be so privileged to serve. I am filled with thankfulness when I am reminded of all the love and support that is preparing our team and my heart for this summer.
